Fresh ingredients with soft but sturdy bread. I would definitely come back to try other sandwiches. Plus they are hefty enough to last you 1.5-2 meals.

Good stuff. Keep up what you are doing Cangiano's. Had an excellent sandwich here, and you should too. The prosciutto they use is very high quality and they put a good amount on. Sun-dried peppers nice and sweet. Their bread is fresh, soft, and slightly chewy. The mozzarella, though it wasn't the largest portion, tasted fresh. Overall the sandwich was a 9.5/10. Service was quick and friendly, and the prices are very respectable compared to other similar delis. I highly recommend Cangiano's and will be back to try more sandwiches soon.

Cangiano's is tucked away on a quiet corner of Erie St and Pavonia Ave, with lots of free street parking available. I was super hungry after my workout, which seemed to be the right move because their famed sandwiches are pretty hefty. I ordered the #17 ($15), which included a mountain of prosciutto, freshly sliced mozzarella, and a slathering of this ridiculously delicious spicy fig jam. The bread was soft and studded with sesame seeds, and the sweet fig jam packed a gentle, slow burning heat on my tongue that the mozzarella cooled down. It was an excellent sandwich, though I do wish there was jam on both sides of the bread so it wasn't quite as dry. The sandwich was filling enough to last me for two meals, so I would definitely recommend coming with a friend or two to try out other sandwiches on the menu-- I hear the heavy hitters also include #3 and #14. Cangiano's also has an excellent selection of imported goods, from jamón ibérico to Giusti balsamic vinegars, as well as fresh pasta and ready-to-eat salads and dishes. They also sell the spicy fig jam by the container in the refrigerated section for $10.95-- highly recommend grabbing this.

Got the Matty D breakfast sandwich on a roll and it was super tasty. Slight kick which paired well with the pesto & mozzarella cheese. Fast service & cute little market. Local staple.

Tony Soprano-approved Cangiano's is a bustling, cozy deli that brings the spirit of New Jersey's authentic Italian cuisine to life. This isn't just a sandwich shop--it's a shrine to premium meats, perfectly crafted Italian sandwiches, and specialty groceries + baked goods. Woke up this morning and got myself the #17. Filled with gabagool, prosciutto, fresh mozzarella, and sweet fig jam, the sandwich is packed into soft, fluffy bread and is generously sized to feed two people. At $16 it is extremely reasonable given the portions, quality of ingredients, and joy of the atmosphere. I would definitely try it again with red peppers or add eggplant! One small tip: there's no seating area, so plan to grab your goodies to go. That said, I'll definitely be back to sample their seasonal soups and those cannolis. ‍

I got #25 for lunch, on recommendation of the staff and loved it! So much good flavor in the sandwich. Would return to try others. Cangiano's is set up as a little market. You can also buy meats, cheeses, desserts, and even lunch/dinner plates. Nice spot to have in your rotation.

I've been on a hunt for Italian delis in the area (no shortage obviously) and I'm excited to add this one into the rotation! One block away (crossing through this courtyard like area) from Hamilton park, no parking lot and street parking can be a on sometimes but just keep circling :) Soo nice inside! Cozy and very well lit and clean. Bakery as soon as you go in, a good selection of market items like cheeses, fruits etc, and the deli towards the back. Only tried some sandwiches so far, but I'm looking forward to coming back and trying their espresso! Chicken parm, prosciutto and mozz, and classic ham salami & cheese sandwiches were all really good, and a few of us specifically commented on how good their bread was! They give you good quantities with the meat.
